Hi. I'm currently researching my family tree.
My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Frances Amelia WELCH (b1884-d1973). Her father (my great-grandfather) was Thomas Cook WELCH (b1853 at Kimpton).
His sister was Caroline THRALE (nee Welch)christened on 24/11/1842 at Codicote. Their parents were George Welch + Elizabeth (nee Garratt) who married on 25 January 1838 at Codicote. I believe they had 12 children. George (christened in 1812 in Great Wymondley) was the son of Timothy WELCH + Martha (nee Cook) They married on 12 May 1811 at Great Wymondley and I
believe they had 9 children. Timothy Welch and Martha Cook were both apparently born circa 1791 in Hertfordshire but to date I have not been able to find out more.
Can you tell me please whether anybody else has been in touch regarding this WELCH family connection?
Also do you know where Caroline THRALE(nee Welch)is buried as she does not appear to be with her husband, Norman, who died in 1900.
