233 Despite the pre-arrangement that Henry would be buried next to his wife who predeceased him, the Dean Street Synagogue Burial Society had mistakenly buried someone else in Henry's plot. After his death, and upon being told of the mistake, the family were very distressed because it was Henry's sincere wish to be reunited with his late wife. It was not clear for some time how or when this might be resolved, and this unexpectedly resulted in Henry's grave being without any headstone or marker for around 35 years. 249 Died aged 2½ years, after tonsillectomy surgery, from bronchopneumonia following measles, with septic scarlet fever contributing.

According to family accounts, he suffered from impetigo, and his fatal illness began after the tonsillectomy operation. According to oral family accounts, it may have been complicated by the accidental failure to remove all surgical items — though this cannot be definitively confirmed. Before antibiotics, post-surgical measles infection was a recognised risk, and the tonsillectomy site may have allowed scarlet fever (Group A Strep) to enter, leading to sepsis.

In 1936 Park Hospital was a 632-bed specialist 'fever hospital'. It seems likely that he was transferred here from the hospital at which the tonsillectomy was undertaken.
