    I give all my Customary message or tenement formerly in the tenure or occupation of Richard Pilgram now in my own occupation situate at Whethamsted within the Manor of Whethamsted with Harpendon co. Hertford to which I was admitted at a Court Baron holden for the said Manor on the 9th June 1808 together with the yard, garden etc. unto my nephew Ralph Thrale of Croydon in the County of Surrey engraver, the son of my late brother Thomas Thrale to his heirs and assigns for ever.

    I give all my personal estate whatsoever after payment of debts etc and subject to the payment of a Legacy of £20 which I hereby give to Elizabeth Sharp now residing with me for her care, attention and loving services to me independent of any wages due to her at my death. To my niece Sarah wife of William Hands of the City of London, whitesmith. Elizabeth wife of William Elliott of St. John Square in the parish of Clerkenwell,co. Middx, drawing instrument maker the children of my late brother Thomas Thrale and to Ralph Thrale of Nouman's Land Farm in the parish of Saundbridge co. Hertford, yeoman my nephew to be equally divided between them the said Sarah Hands, Elizabeth Elliott and Ralph Thrale share and share alike.

    I appoint Ralph Thrale executor.
