DATED. 15th March, 1696. - PROVED. 27th March, 1697• Archd. St. Albans. Reg. 82. Eling.
Whereas I the said Robert Thrale the 2nd March 1691 did surrender into the hands of the Lord of the Manor of Sandridge by the hands of William Withered and John Anderson customary tenants of the said Manor out of Court by the Rod according to the custom of the said Manor. All that messuage or tenement called Cappsals Springalls and Nymmings and six closes of arrable land belonging called Nymmings Long Croft, Molthole Green Croft, Dell Field and Long Close containing 26 acres mne or less in the parish of Sandridge and all other my copyhold messuages etc in the said Manor to the use of such person or persons as I the said Robert Thrale shall nominate by my last Will and Testament.
Now I give and bequeath unto George Bazill of parish of Hatfield co. Hertford, yeoman now husband of Elizabeth one of the daughters of William Wethered all that messuage or tenement (as above) the said 6 closes with all other my messuages lands etc. whatsoever to the said George Bazill his heirs and assigns for ever.
To the poor of the parish of Sandridge 40s.
To my sister Elizabeth Bazill widow three pieces of old gold and old gold ring.
The rest of my money, goods etc. to George Bazill who I make sole executor.
To my loving wife Alice Thrale £10.
